Photos from rugby game

Day 9 Dunedin

Day 9 Dunedin

It took us 3 hours to get to Dunedin from Queenstown. That night we went to a ruby game at Forsyth Barr stadium it was Crusaders vs Highlanders. This is the first time we have have been to this ground we liked it because it had a roof on it so we did not get wet or cold i like this ground better then the one in chch it was weird because everyone was going for the Highlanders but we were going for the Crusaders. The end score was 40 to the Crusaders and 20 to the Highlanders the crowed was loud and they had a special area for the uni students which was called the zoo and that is were all the noise came from.

Day 8 Queenstown

Day 8 Queenstown

Today is our last day in Queenstown so we left our coolest activity to last which is the skyline gondola ride up the hill and the luge down the hill. The view from on top of the hill was beautiful. The luge was easy to drive but it was really fast you push the handle bar forward to go and pull the handle bar back to slow down it has no brakes. We got to go on the luge 5 times and i liked racing my family down to the bottom.after we finished the luge we got into the campervan and drove to our next town which was Dunedin.

Day 7 Queenstown

Day 7 Queenstown

Today when we woke up in queenstown it was really cold but it was a nice sunny day outside so we went down to the playground we walked around the town to find a cool place to have lunch and we found a little restaurant down stairs. After lunch we visited an aquarium where we learnt about the lake we saw some big eels and fish. Then we did some indoor go carts because it was still cold outside.

Day 6 Queenstown

Day 6 Queenstown

On day 6 we arrived in Queenstown i was happy we arrived in a city that was like chch. It had things like supermarkets, takeaways like KFC McDonald's and pizza hut and  it also had lots of clothing stores and the warehouse. We went in the town center that is built around a lake. The lake is called lake Wakatipu. It has nice clear blue water so we decided to go on a jet boat ride around the lake. Then we went to find a camp site to park the campervan up and make tea.

Day 4 and 5 Wanaka

Day 4 and 5 Wanaka

Today we arrived in Wanaka we went to a bakery so we could get lunch. After lunch we went to the playground then we went to see the famous tree that was growing in the lake but the water level was low so the trunk was not in the water. We went to puzzle word it was fun and we got stuck in the maze but we got out and we finished all the other activities. We went to a camp site checked out there facilities and had some dinner when we finished having dinner we walked around the town.On day 2 we went to our friends house because we haven't seen them since last year because they moved to Wanaka to live. It was cool to catch up up with them.

Day 3 Aoraki/Mt Cook

Day 3  - Aoraki / Mt Cook

We drove form Lake Tekapo to Aoraki Mt Cook it took a hour and a half.Mt Cook is New Zealand's biggest/tallest mountain, Mt Cook is 3,724m high.We did the Hooker valley track. This is a 3 hour walk with 3  river crossings surrounded by snow and mountains. The 3 suspension bridges were scary because when you cross over they shake and move round. It took 1 hour 45mins to get to the Hooker lake when we got to the hooker lake it was frozen over in parts and it had ice burgs in it. The ice burgs full off the glacier and float around in the lake this was the best walk I have ever been on.
