Today in hurumanu 2 we have been learning about the violin. Violins can be electric The violin has a few weird feature on the violin and the bow that have weird names, like the frog, the frog is where so you can change the hair. and then there is the sound holes on a violin is a shape of and F.

violins have a sound hole like a guitar

violins have to have a special wax that needs to go onto the bow so it can slide across the violin strings

Counting The Beat- ukulele

Today we are learning about the ukulele in hurumanu 2. The teacher brought in 5 ukuleles for us to see.We watch the teacher play some cords.She was really good at playing the ukulele

There are different types of ukuleles  that you could get.                                                                             On the ukulele there are 4 strings on a ukulele but on a guitars there are 6 string

                           Covid Alert level 2 

This week we went to level 2 which means that our family's cant come down to watch us do sport for athletics day. We are still doing athletics.we have to dress up in our class colour our class colour is yellow. So we have to wear something yellow to athletics day all the other class have to wear a different colour then others.

 

e-asttle rubic

 Hi today I am going to tell you about a task we had to do.

We had to look at the e-asttle rubric, when we were finished our writing we have to look at the at the rubic to see if we have good spelling and other rubric tasks, we had to change and put more ideas.
My goal is to improve on writing at least 1 or 2 paragraphs when we have writing, My other goal is to use more punctuation, and to make sure i spell my word correct. I hope  that a can accomplish my goal.

My Hero: Jacinda Ardern.

 Hello today I am going to be telling you what I do in Huurumanu 1. We have been doing stuff about our hero my hero is Jacinda Adern she is my hero because she helped New Zealand out when we were having a pandemic and when the Mosque attack happend and that are some of my reasons jacinda adern is my hero.

Jacinda Ardern is the prime minister of New Zealand. She has led New Zealand through the pandemic and is doing it again. She  Helped Christchurch through the Mosque attack.She helped families out that didn't have much.she helped a school out that was struggling.She helped new zealand out when she was pregnant and when she had her daughter

Waterloo road

Waterloo road is dangerous for hornby high and hornby primary. We should have a crossing light.I think Waterloo road is not safe because there are big trucks that go down the road and go in the middle where people stand so they can cross. We have cars going down the road fast off of the main road. There are some trucks that are huge and take the hole road up.Its not that busy when it is school hours but it is really busy when it is after school and before school.
